CROWFALL ENVIRONMENTS
This collection of environment images showcases the dynamic world-building system, featuring world tiles, points of interest (POIs), handcrafted art assets, and a time-of-day and seasonal variation system, with textures that update dynamically at runtime.
As the lead of the environment art team, I was responsible for defining the overall artistic direction, ensuring visual cohesion across the game world while balancing technical constraints. In addition to shaping the look and feel of the environments, I contributed directly to the world tiling and streaming technology, optimizing asset placement and performance for seamless open-world exploration.
I also played a key role in creating a wide range of environment assets, including rocks, trees, vegetation, and terrain textures. Each element was designed to enhance immersion while supporting procedural and manual world-building workflows. The dynamic environmental system allowed for organic transitions between seasons and lighting conditions, adding depth and variety to the player's experience.
This work was crucial in bringing the game world to life, blending artistry and technology to create an immersive, ever-changing landscape.
